Along with Erkenbrand shown last time, I completed a number of Moria Goblins as well as the Goblin King and including some drummers. The idea was to keep them relatively dark, moody and generally evil looking. Avoid bright or bold colours and mute the tones used. During painting I found that some sand from the bases was coming away, but this gave me a perfect opportunity to create small pools of water. These were enhanced using gloss varnish after the models were given their dull coat.
